SHFE 1708 Zinc Extend Losses (2017-6-6)

SHFE 1708 zinc opened at RMB 20,880/mt today and fell below moving averages, and then fluctuated around RMB 21,780/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 6 (SMM) – SHFE 1708 zinc contract became the most actively traded contract today. SHFE 1708 zinc opened at RMB 20,880/mt today and fell below moving averages, and then fluctuated around RMB 21,780/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1708 zinc edged up to RMB 20,980/mt with entry of longs and leaving of shorts. At the end of trading, SHFE 1708 zinc rolled back early gains and closed at RMB 20,680/mt, down RMB 460/mt or 2.18%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1708 zinc decreased 14,798 to 227,000 lots, and positions increased 6,134 to 225,000. SHFE 1708 zinc is expected to stay range-bound this evening.
