Meitai Group to Build 1 Million Aluminum Project in Inner Mongolia

Inner Mongolia Mengtai Group plans to invest 6.5 billion yuan in building an aluminum project with annual capacity at 1 million tonnes.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 5 (SMM) – Inner Mongolia Mengtai Group plans to invest 6.5 billion yuan in building an aluminum project with annual capacity at 1 million tonnes. 

The project, located in Dalate Economic Development Zone, will have an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes in the first phase. The first phase project is scheduled to complete construction and enter operations in Q4 this year.

The escalating conflict in the Middle East has driven international oil prices sharply higher, a trend that has deeply unsettled Wall Street. Wall Street is concerned that US inflation could reaccelerate as a result, forcing the US Fed to delay interest rate cuts and even shift its policy direction toward rate hikes.
