SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) – On Thursday’s night trading, base metals kept diverging, with big price volatility during the trading. Such trading pattern is expected to be continuing on Friday.

At 13:00 on August 20 Peru time, a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Ayacucho region in southern Peru, with the epicenter located about 35 km north of Coracora and a focal depth of 108 km. According to SMM, the earthquake has not yet affected major mining areas in Peru, and its overall impact on Peru's copper ore supply is limited.
