SHFE 1707 Zinc Closes Lower (2017-5-25)

SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 22,450/mt today and then edged up to RMB 22,500/mt, but fell to RMB 22,450/mt later on.

SHANGHAI, May 25 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 22,450/mt today and then edged up to RMB 22,500/mt, but fell to RMB 22,450/mt later on. In the afternoon, SHFE 1707 zinc rallied to RMB 22,480/mt, and then plummeted to RMB 22,220/mt with ferrous metals, closing at RMB 22,245/mt, down RMB 110/mt or 0.49%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1707 zinc increased 3,550 to 635,000 lots, and positions decreased 13,194 to 295,000. The price spread between SHFE 1706 and SHFE 1707 zinc is RMB 470/mt. Nonferrous metals are mixed today.

SHFE 1707 zinc is expected to hover around RMB 22,250/mt this evening.
