North American copper scrap prices stay unchanged on Index 23rd May, 2017

The North American copper scrap prices remained flat on May 23rd, Tuesday.

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices remained unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on May 23rd, Tuesday.

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing held steady at $2.34 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also unchanged at $2.24 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright remained flat at $ 2.44 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery remained flat over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged. #3 Copper-Light copper prices too maintained previous day’s level at $2.14 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed no change from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too saw no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained flat on May 23rd.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices remained unchanged over the day.  

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights maintained previous day price levels.

INE to Expand Tradable Options for Qualified Foreign Investors, Adding TSR 20 Rubber and Copper Contracts
According to an announcement by the Shanghai International Energy Exchange, with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, effective April 22, 2026 (from the night continuous trading session on April 21), the Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as INE) will further expand the range of tradable products available to Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors and RMB Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (collectively, Qualified Foreign Investors), with the newly added commodity options contracts open for trading as follows: TSR 20 rubber and international copper options contracts.
