SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 78,210/mt today, and fluctuated between RMB 77,600-78,450/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 22 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 78,210/mt today, and fluctuated between RMB 77,600-78,450/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel hovered narrowly above moving averages and closed at RMB 77,850/mt, up RMB 1,810/mt or 2.38%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1709 nickel increased 190,000 to 593,000, and positions decreased 9,108 to 552,000. SHFE nickel is expected to fluctuate at highs this evening.
