Battery Inventory at Distributors down to Low Level on Off-Season, SMM Reports

Inventories at distributors are low due to weak lead price and battery off-season.

SHANGHAI, May 22 (SMM) – Most distributors in face of weak lead price and battery off-season are cutting battery purchases and reducing battery inventories.

Inventories at distributors are low with that at 10-15 days of motive battery, and 25-30 days of ignition battery.

In other news, distributors plan to build low-price stocks in June, when battery producers will conduct promotions with big discounts to spur semi-annual sales.
