SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) – China’s zinc concentrate output will add 200,000 tonnes in 2017, SMM zinc analyst predicts at the SMM 2017 Lead & Zinc Summit.

SMM 2017 Lead & Zinc Summit: Zinc Price Outlook for 2017

About 175,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate capacity will be put into production in 2017, with 40,000 tonnes of capacity restarted. About 130,000-140,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate output added is for sure. Nonetheless, production in some regions will decrease 28,000 tonnes because of resources exhaustion and low ore grade.
