SHFE 1707 aluminum opened at RMB 13,980/mt on Friday.

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 aluminum opened at RMB 13,980/mt on Friday. The most active contract followed ferrous metals prices up to RMB 14,090/mt, but then fell back to end at RMB 14,030/mt. Trading volumes increased 28,610 lots to 191,010 lots, and positions decreased 1,122 lots to 265,264 lots. Without new policy, SHFE aluminum will face short selling pressure.
