SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,500/mt today and then fell to RMB 21,300/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,500/mt today and then fell to RMB 21,300/mt. With longs entering and shorts leaving the market, SHFE 1707 zinc strengthened and hovered around RMB 21,390/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1707 zinc fluctuated around RMB 21,370/mt, and closed at RMB 21,520/mt, down RMB 130/mt or 0.61%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1707 zinc decreased 36,544 to 562,000 lots, and positions fell 9,694 to 332,000. SHFE 1707 zinc is expected to hover around RMB 21,300/mt this evening.
