Glencore CEO Ivan Glasenberg said that E-vehicle development is coming faster than expected, boosting demand for copper, nickel, lithium and manganese.

SHANGHAI, May 18 (SMM) – Glencore CEO Ivan Glasenberg said that E-vehicle development is coming faster than expected, boosting demand for copper, nickel, lithium and manganese, and battery producers has become the crucial link in E-vehicle supply chain, reported by etnet.com.

Ivan sees potential for commodity demand throughout the year, indicating that there is a small possibility for prices on stock market to plunge again after its weak performance in 2015, due largely to rising demand and private investment.

Moreover, manufacturing data from countries were positive, with that from Europe registering a 6-year high.
