SHFE 1707 aluminum dipped to RMB 13,890/mt due to short selling after opening at RMB 14,030/mt on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 aluminum dipped to RMB 13,890/mt due to short selling after opening at RMB 14,030/mt on Tuesday. Prices then rallied on dip buying, and ended at RMB 13,965/mt, with trading volumes up to 184,580 lots, and positions up 7,464 lots to 262,936 lots. SHFE 1707 aluminum should continue hovering around RMB 14,000/mt in the near term.
