SHFE 1707 Zinc Closes with Declines (2017-5-15)

SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,530/mt today and rose to RMB 21,610/mt, and then hovered around RMB 21,570/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,530/mt today and rose to RMB 21,610/mt, and then hovered around RMB 21,570/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1707 zinc fell to RMB 21,520/mt, dragged down by short momentum, and rallied to RMB 21,610/mt, closing at RMB 21,600/mt, down RMB 15/mt or 0.07%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1707 zinc increased 131,000 to 579,000 lots, and positions added 5,024 to 47,818. SHFE 1707 zinc is expected to remain at current level this evening. The SHFE 1705 zinc was delivered today, opening at RMB 21,730/mt, and hovering in a RMB 200/mt range, closing at RMB 22,150/mt, with settlement price of RMB 22,210/mt. Deliveries were 19,925 mt. Trading volumes decreased 760 to 2,320 lots, and total positions fell 510 to 7,970.
