China Crude Steel Output Refreshes Record High in April

China’s crude steel output refreshed a new record high in April.

SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) – China’s crude steel output refreshed a new record high in April. 

The April’s production, up 4.9 per cent on a yearly basis, reached 72.78 million tonnes.  

Pig Iron production was 62.58 million tonnes, up 7.1 per cent on a yearly basis, and finished steel output was 94.90 million tonnes, down 1.8 per cent compared with the same period of last year.
