China’s investment during January-April, consumption and value added at industrials will be released today.

SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) – China’s investment during January-April, consumption and value added at industrials will be released today. New York Fed’s manufacturing index and NAHB’s Housing Market Index (HMI) will be also watched by the markets. Base metals diverged last Friday and will remain in this trend today.

State Council Information Office will hold a press conference at 10:00 o’clock today. The spokesman of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and National Economic Accounting Department Director Xing Zhihong will introduce national economy performance in April 2017, and answer to reporters' request.

SMM Price Outlook for Base Metals on SHFE (May 15, 2017)

The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) emphasized at its Q1 monetary policy execution report China should keep the balance of deleverage and maintaining stability of liquidity, and said China’s balance sheet inverted to expansion in April, meaning no worry about liquidity in the near term.
