Guangdong Zinc Spot Premiums Outstrip Tianjin and Shanghai, SMM Reports

Spot premiums on #0 zinc in Guangdong rose above those in Tianjin and Shanghai due to tightening supply, SMM reported.

SHANGHAI, May 11 (SMM) - Spot premiums on #0 zinc in Guangdong rose above those in Tianjin and Shanghai due to tightening supply, SMM reported.

Spot premiums on #0 zinc in Guangdong expanded 30-40 yuan from last week to 300 yuan per tonne over July zinc on the SHFE. Arriving shipments decrease rapidly because of maintenance at zinc smelters in South China. Meanwhile, outward shipments are normal.

Spot premiums in Guangdong will stay high for the coming week, SMM predicts.

Shuangli Mining Launches No. 2 Iron Mine Expansion, Aiming for 870,000 Tons of Iron Concentrate Annually
The commissioning and trial production ceremony for the upgrading and capacity expansion project of the No. 2 Iron Mine mining and beneficiation system at Hegeqi Mine, owned by Inner Mongolia Shuangli Mining Co., Ltd., was held. Upon reaching full production, the project will produce 870,000 tons of iron concentrate, 9,580 tons of copper concentrate, 5,432 tons of lead concentrate, and 2,052 tons of zinc concentrate annually, injecting new momentum into the green and high-quality development of Shuangli Mining.
