Anglo American is ready to resume production at its El Soldado copper mine in Chile, which halted from February 17, 2017.

SHANGHAI, May 10 (SMM) – Anglo American is ready to resume production at its El Soldado copper mine in Chile, which halted from February 17, 2017, after its new permit plan for the operation was disapproved, reported by foreign medium.

The company expects the suspension will slash copper output by 3,000 tonnes.

El Soldado copper mine produced 47,000 tonnes of copper last year.
