SHANGHAI, May 8 (SMM) - China launched the third round of environmental protection inspections in Tianjin, Shanxi, Liaoning, Anhui, Fujian, Hunan and Guizhou in 2017 after two rounds in 2016.
According to SMM’s survey, secondary lead smelters in Anhui all suspended operation, including Anhui Huaxin Lead Industry Group, Taihe County Great China Metal Materials, Anhui Huanyu Lead Industry Group, Taihe County Yangtze Metal Materials and Shunda Metal Materials, except Huabo Renewable Resources Technology which held one production unit online, affecting 2,500 mt of secondary lead output. The inspection will impact secondary lead market for 1-1.5 months.
