TCs for Chinese lead concentrate to Stabilize for the Near Term, SMM Forecasts

TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were mainly at RMB 1,600-1,800/mt (Pb Content) last week, and few offers of imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000g) were heard.

SHANGHAI, May 8 (SMM) - TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were mainly at 1,600-1,800 yuan per tonne (Pb Content) last week, and few offers of imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000g) were heard.

Lead concentrate inventory at ports was low, while lead smelters showed low production enthusiasm in response of poor orders and had low purchase interest with rising raw material inventories.

SMM expects TCs for domestic lead concentrate to stabilize for the near term.
