SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 75,610/mt today. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel fell to RMB 74,730/mt, and closed at RMB 74,820/mt, down RMB 2,560/mt or 3.31%.

SHANGHAI, May 5 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 75,610/mt today. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel fell to RMB 74,730/mt, and closed at RMB 74,820/mt, down RMB 2,560/mt or 3.31%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1709 nickel decreased 138,000 to 457,000, and positions increased 4,832 to 595,000. US will release its April non-farm report this evening, with employment expected to increase. SHFE nickel is expected to rally this evening.
