Shandong Sends Back Environmental Unqualified Copper Scrap to US

The Port of Huangdao, Shandong Province found a shipload of unqualified copper scrap with excess-standard impurities which was imported from the US, cnmn.com reported.

SHANGHAI, May 3 (SMM) - The Port of Huangdao, Shandong Province found a shipload of unqualified copper scrap with excess-standard impurities which was imported from the US, cnmn.com reported.

These shipments weigh 39,626 kg and are worth $214,329.06. Shandong detected copper scrap shipments with excessive impurities for the first time.

The weight of impurities shall be no more than 2% of imported nonferrous metals scrap.
