One Guangxi Company Closes NPI Unit for 2-Month Maintenance, with Price Declines in NPI Market

One company in Guangxi shut down its only one 450 m³furnace for unit maintenance, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 25 (SMM) – One company in Guangxi shut down its only one 450 m³ furnace for unit maintenance, Shanghai Metals Market learns.

The maintenance will last for two months, running from Apr. 23 to Jun. 23, and the producer has annual monthly capacity of about 30,000 tonnes of low-grade NPI.

Last week, low-grade NPI prices in China's domestic market extended losses, with the average weekly price down 2.19 percent on a weekly basis, according to SMM data. In the period, losses at domestic high-grade NPI producers worsened with high-grade NPI falling.
