TCs for Lead Concentrate to Remain Stable, SMM Foresees

TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were flat at 1,500-1,800 yuan per tonne (Pb Content) in the week ending April 21 and no offers of imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000g) were heard.
SHANGHAI, Apr. 24 (SMM) - TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were flat at 1,500-1,800 yuan per tonne (Pb Content) in the week ending April 21 and no offers of imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000g) were heard, SMM surveyed.
As SHFE 1706 lead fluctuated at around 16,000 yuan per tonne and SMM/LME lead price ratio edged up to 7.43, losses of imported lead concentrate narrowed to 1,500 yuan per tonne (Pb content).
Lead smelters showed low raw material purchase interest as weak lead price and downstream poor demand reduced orders.
SMM expects TCs for lead concentrate to remain stable this week.
