SHFE 1706 zinc opened at RMB 20,840/mt today and fell to RMB 20,760/mt.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 19 (SMM) – SHFE 1706 zinc opened at RMB 20,840/mt today and fell to RMB 20,760/mt. With exodus of shorts, SHFE 1706 zinc rallied to RMB 21,240/mt and then hovered around RMB 21,120/mt later. In the afternoon, domestic commodities plunged, especially ferrous metals. SHFE 1706 zinc fell to RMB 20,930/mt and closed at RMB 21,025/mt, down RMB 580/mt or 2.68%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1706 zinc increased 368,000 to 697,000, and positions added 16,860 to 379,000. SHFE 1706 zinc is expected to hover around RMB 21,000/mt this evening.
