SHFE 1705 lead opened at RMB 16,415/mt and closed down RMB 120/mt or 0.73%.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 11 (SMM) – On Tuesday, SHFE 1705 lead opened at RMB 16,415/mt and then stabilized. During the afternoon trading, the contract fluctuated with a session-high at RMB 16,490/mt and a session-low at RMB 16,285/mt. SHFE 1705 lead closed down RMB 120/mt or 0.73%. Trading volumes fell 18,050 to 72,748 lots and positions reduced 1,774 to 43,252. SHFE 1705 lead stopped falling and stabilized on Tuesday.

The contract will remain weak for the near term.

Sluggish Transactions in Domestic Secondary Crude Lead Market, Prices at 15,250-15,400 Yuan/mt

The domestic secondary crude lead market experienced sluggish transactions. As of February 6, 2026, the ex-factory tax-exclusive offers for domestic secondary crude lead stood at 15,250-15,400 yuan/mt. Downstream refined lead and alloy smelters gradually entered the holiday period, showing weak stockpiling willingness. Overseas lead ingot suppliers basically halted transactions with China due to poor consumption in the Chinese market, with only some previously concluded shipments maintaining normal in-transit transportation. The trading atmosphere in the secondary crude lead market will continue to weaken next week.
