SHANGHAI, Apr. 11 (SMM) - Vedanta Resources Plc said Tuesday refined zinc production at Indian branch increased nearly 40% in the fourth quarter of the 2016 fiscal year (FY) due to one mine in northwest India, wenhua.com reported.
The company’s refined zinc output increased to 215,000 tonnes in the quarter ending March 31, compared to 154,000 tonnes in the same period of last year.
Indian branch’s zinc production slid 12% to 670,000 tonnes in 2016 FY because of fewer ore supplies in the first half of the year.
