China's iron ore prices are expected to extend declines after the 2017 Chinese Qingming Festival from Apr. 2-4, Shanghai Metals Market foresee.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 1 (SMM) – China's iron ore prices are expected to extend declines after the 2017 Chinese Qingming Festival from Apr. 2-4, Shanghai Metals Market foresee.

Over this past week, market pessimism predominated the market, and domestic iron ore prices kept falling. 

SMM expects the decline to continue into the market after the 2017 Chinese Qingming Festival, citing strong bearish outlook and falling steel prices.

In April, the implementation of environmental protection inspections should be closely watched, and this will again trigger market speculations if the inspections are carried out strictly, SMM adds.
