China Nickel Ore Prices to Hold Stable amid Thin Trading, SMM Predicts
Nickel ore inventories at seven major Chinese ports were down 100,000 tonnes last week, according to SMM data.
Last week, Antam received the initial approval for Indonesian nickel ore exports, but the export quota of 2.70 million WMT was much below its application volume of 6 million WMT.
SMM Revises Down 2017 Nickel Ore Exports from Indonesia
SMM adjusts estimation on Indonesian nickel ore exports in 2017 after this. SMM expects 2017 nickel ore exports from Indonesia to reach about 5.70-6.70 million WMT, lower than the previous estimation of 8-10 million WMT.
