SHANGHAI, Apr. 1 (SMM) - Glencore’s copper ore output in Zambia is expected to double in the next few years, wenhua.com reported.

Glencore’s subsidiary Mopani Copper Mines will invest $1.3 billion in expanding its copper ore output from recent 3.0 million tonnes to 9 million tonnes per year before 2020 as global copper prices rebound.

The new investment will expand the service life of the mine by 25-30 years.
