SHANGHAI, Mar. 31 (SMM) – Guangdong Zhanjiang Customs Xiashan Customs detected for rare earth ores in one batch of nickel ores through one hi-tech analyzer for the first time, reported by CRI Online.

The hand-held analyzer is made for rare earth ore detection, which can detect composition of rare earth element, mineral and alloy. Thus, any rare earth element in normal ores will have no place to hide, helping a lot in rare earth smuggling crackdown.

It is learned that rare earth is non-renewable national strategy resource. Rare earth smuggling is a prevalent problem in China due to decent international and domestic demand.
