SHFE to Adjust Trading Margins and Daily Limits to Guard against Risks during 2017 Chinese Qingming Festival

As the 2017 Chinese Qingming Festival (also known as Tomb-sweeping Day) falls on 2-4, Apr., Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) announced to adjust trading margins and daily limits for risk concerns.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 31 (SMM) – As the 2017 Chinese Qingming Festival (also known as Tomb-sweeping Day) falls on 2-4, Apr., Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) announced to suspend night trading on Mar. 31, and will resume the trading on Apr. 5, with call caution running from 08:55-09:00, and continuous trading will be also resumed on the night of the day. 

Trading margins for copper, aluminum and tin will be adjusted from 9 percent to 8 percent, and daily limits will be adjusted from 7 percent to 6 percent. Trading margins for silver will be adjusted from 8 percent to 7 percent, and daily limits will be changed from 6 percent to 5 percent.
