LONDON (Scrap Register): Total Metal Recuperation (TMR) Inc. has started operations with Brady’s Commercial Recycling Enterprise System and Mobile Yard Inspector Solution for the management of its new state-of-the-art commercial metal recycling operations in Laval, Canada.
TMR has implemented Brady Commercial Recycling Enterprise System (CRES) to provide visibility over its financial, commercial, and trading activities.
The system will support end-to-end management of TMR’s sophisticated recycling operations from purchasing, inventory management, to in-depth browser-based consolidated financial reports, including daily flash financial statements.
Brady Mobile Yard Inspector will allow TMR yard inspectors to perform key tasks related to receiving loads in the yard right from their mobile device; streamlining its receiving operations, increasing the frequency and accuracy of their weight/grade adjustments, improving supplier relations by providing enhanced documentation, reducing input errors, preventing fraudulent transactions and magnifying the power of their Brady CRES systems.
“TMR is thrilled to work with Brady Recycling and to apply its advanced technologies to help ensure our commercial and financial operations are constantly monitored, and to ensure our yard remains constantly connected with other parts of the business,” said Jean-Guy Hamelin, President for Total Métal Récupération.
“Now that we have gone live with CRES and opened our doors to the public, we are able to harvest the power of data and real-time analytics, increasing our productivity and reducing our operational risk,” Hamelin added.
Alan Doucet, whose role is to enable customer success in Recycling for Brady plc commented: “We are excited TMR recognises the value and leadership that Brady Recycling solutions represent.  CRES is the premier software of choice to world-class scrap processors, brokers and consumers, and this selection is a testament to this fact.”
He continued: “As TMR unveils one of the most technically advanced scrap recycling operations in the industry, we know Brady Recycling can support them every step of the way, future-proofing their operation and providing a solid, scalable infrastructure that evolves as their business operations grow.”

LME Copper Breaches $14,000 Mark, Driving European Copper Scrap Wholesale Prices to Record Highs
In mid-May, LME copper rallied strongly, exceeding the historical $14,000/mt mark for the first time. The boom on the metal exchange drove European copper scrap prices to unprecedented levels. According to German market data, wholesale purchasing prices for copper scrap increased by €30 to €55 per 100 kilograms within a single week, depending on the grade, with brass scrap following the uptrend. This price surge has further strengthened the reluctance to sell among holders of already scarce high-quality local scrap in Europe.
