SHANGHAI, Mar. 30 (SMM) – Brazil's Votorantim said Wednesday that its zinc smelter in Cajamarquilla has restarted half of production after the flood, wenhua.com reported.
The smelter has resumed 50 percent of utilization rate so far, and full resumption will be achieved once transportation conditions in Pasco return to normal, and zinc concentrates are able to be transported by railway or road, the company said in a statement.
Cajamarquilla smelter produced about 340,000 tonnes of zinc in 2016, according to government data.
