SHFE Zinc Prices down 1.42% (2017-3-22)

SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 23,225/mt and closed at RMB 23,255/mt, down RMB 335/mt or 1.42%.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 22 (SMM) – On Wednesday, SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 23,225/mt and then dipped quickly to RMB 23,025/mt. Later, the contract rallied slightly to RMB 23,130/mt with short covering and then fluctuated narrowly. SHFE 1705 zinc increased slightly at the tail of trading and closed at RMB 23,255/mt, down RMB 335/mt or 1.42%. Trading volumes were up 128,000 to 736,000 lots and positions were down 5,702 to 265,000. Base metals declined across the board on Wednesday with strengthening regulations in real estate market.

SHFE 1705 zinc will keep falling momentum on Wednesday’s night trading.
