SHFE Releases Amendments to Copper Cathode Futures Contracts

The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) issued the Announcement on the Issuance of the Amendments to Copper Cathode, Aluminum, Zinc and Lead Futures Contracts.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 21 (SMM) – The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) issued the Announcement on the Issuance of the Amendments to Copper Cathode, Aluminum, Zinc and Lead Futures Contracts. 

The amendment to copper cathode contracts on the SHFE is to adjust the pound weight difference from ±0.2 to ±0.1%, with each overlanded and shortlanded warrant unchanged at not exceed ±2%. 

Transaction fee, which requires to equal or below 0.02 % of transaction value (Risk reserve included), is removed, in addition to changes in names of futures contract and appendix.

The amendment will come into effect April 20, 2017.
