SHFE Aluminum Closes Higher (2017-3-10)

SHFE 1705 aluminum opened at RMB 13,740/mt and ended at RMB 13,930/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 10 (SMM) – On Friday, SHFE 1705 aluminum opened at RMB 13,740/mt and then advanced. China’s 16 ministries, including Ministry of Industry & Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Environmental Protection released jointly Guidance for Backward Capacity Elimination based on Comprehensive Utilization Standard. During the afternoon trading, SHFE 1705 aluminum thus surged to RMB 13,970/mt but dropped slightly after meetint resistance at the 10-day moving average. The contract ended at RMB 13,930/mt. Trading volumes increased to 269,530 lots and positions rose 7,868 to 292,230.

SHFE 1705 aluminum will fluctuate at around RMB 14,000/mt on Friday’s nigh trading.
