BHP Billiton said it may employ contractor to restart the Escondida copper mine if the strike lasts for over 30 days, according to wenhua.com.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 9 (SMM) - BHP Billiton said it may employ contractor to restart the Escondida copper mine if the strike lasts for over 30 days, according to wenhua.com.

The company has yet to reach an agreement with workers.

This strike has been the longest at the copper mine.
