Freeport: Grasberg Copper Mine Will Not Return to Normal Operation in 2017

Freeport-McMoRan Inc said in a document released February 28 its Grasberg copper mine in Indonesia will not restart to normal production in 2017, which has been suspended since mid-January, wenhua.com

SHANGHAI, Mar. 2 (SMM) -Freeport-McMoRan Inc said in a document released February 28 its Grasberg copper mine in Indonesia will not restart to normal production in 2017, which has been suspended since mid-January, wenhua.com reported.

According to the document, Grasberg’s daily copper ore output will be slashed to 95,000 tonnes in 2017, compared to 140,000 tonnes expected previously.
