SHFE Tin Prices down 0.85% (2017-2-24)

SHFE 1705 tin opened at RMB 144,310/mt and finally closed at RMB 145,530/mt, down RMB 1,250/mt or 0.85%.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1705 tin dropped with falling LME tin on Wednesday’s night trading and closed at RMB 144,660/mt, which was more resistance to drop than LME tin.

On Friday, SHFE 1705 tin opened at RMB 144,310/mt and then stabilized at lows. During the afternoon trading, the contract rallied to RMB 146,000/mt with positions closing by shorts. SHFE 1705 tin finally closed at RMB 145,530/mt, down RMB 1,250/mt or 0.85%. Trading volumes fell 108 to 17,000 lots and positions dropped 108 to 12,688. Tin prices on LME and SHFE markets are likely to stabilize.

SHFE 1705 tin will stabilize on Friday’s night trading.
