BEIJING (Scrap Register): Aluminum Copper and Rebar price is expected to move higher in 2017, says Aluminum Corp of China (Chalco) in it's website as per Platts report. Higher exports of China in the month of January is mainly said to make the price move up.

The infrastructure investment of Yuan 1.5 trillion ($218.64 billion) by the government in the northwestern province of Xinjiang and lower smeltng of Aluminum due to expected environmental protection measures in North China during the upcoming National People's Congress in Beijing in the autumn will also make the prices move up in Aluminum Copper and Rebar, Platts reports.

Earlier it was reported that 30% of the 11 million mt/year Aluminum smelting capacity of Chian could be cut this year, to comply with Ministry of Environmental Protection pollution prevention plans in those regions for 2017.
