SHANGHAI, Feb. 20 (SMM) - The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru reported the country’s copper output was 211,272 tonnes in December 2016, up 13.3% compared to 186,450 tonnes in December 2015, according to wenhua.com.
The growth is contributed by Freeport’s Cerro Verde copper mine, Antamina, Glencore’s Antapaccay copper mine, Chalco’s Toromocho project and HudBay Minerals Inc’s Constancia.
Peru’s copper output totaled 2.35 million tonnes in 2016, a growth of 38.4%.
