SHFE Tin Prices down 1.57% (2017-2-17)

SHFE 1705 tin opened at RMB 148,470/mt and closed at RMB 146,690/mt, down RMB 2,340/mt or 1.57%.
SHANGHAI, Feb. 17 (SMM) – SHFE 1705 tin fluctuated narrowly at around RMB 148,600/mt on Friday’s night trading and closed at RMB 148,320/mt.
On Friday, SHFE 1705 tin opened at RMB 148,470/mt and then stabilized. Later, the contract dipped below RMB 148,000/mt. During the afternoon trading, SHFE 1705 tin declined to RMB 146,140/mt with positions opening by shorts and closed at RMB 146,690/mt, down RMB 2,340/mt or 1.57%. Trading volumes dropped 4,060 to 15,526 lots and positions fell 180 to 118,000.
SHFE 1705 tin will keep fluctuating at current price for the foreseeable future and will find support at RMB 145,000/mt.
