China launched environmental protection inspections again recently.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 17 (SMM) – China launched environmental protection inspections again recently and made a great effect in Henan, SMM learned. All unqualified enterprises (including primary lead smelters) in Henan Lingbao Industrial Park were called to shut down.

In Jiyuan, some lead smelters cut output and all local secondary lead smelters closed down, and even scrap battery traders stopped trading.

No lead smelters in Hunan and Shandong were heard to suspend output. SMM will track and update the progress.
