Indonesia Imposes Export Tax on Major Nonferrous Metal Concentrate

Indonesian Ministry of Finance said it will levy export tax on lead concentrate, zinc concentrate, iron concentrate and copper concentrate at a ceiling rate of 7.5%, according to wenhua.com.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 16 (SMM) - Indonesian Ministry of Finance said it will levy export tax on lead concentrate, zinc concentrate, iron concentrate and copper concentrate at a ceiling rate of 7.5%, according to wenhua.com.

The tax rate will hinge on construction progress of smelters. The faster the construction, the lower tax rate.

Export tax rates for nickel ore with Ni content below 1.7% and Al 42% alumina are set at 10%.
