SHANGHAI, Feb. 15 (SMM) – Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to continue suffering pressures from a stronger dollar, Shanghai Metals Market predicts.
“The dollar is expected to keep strengthening in the short term, and this will continue weighing on base metal market,” SMM says.
Copper: 49,000-49,800 yuan per tonne
Aluminum: 14,200-14,500 yuan per tonne
Lead: 19,000-19,700 yuan per tonne
Zinc: 23,400-23,850 yuan per tonne
Tin: 148,000-150,000 yuan per tonne
Nickel: 88,500-90,500 yuan per tonne
Note: Prices all above are for most-actively traded contract on the SHFE.
