SHFE Zinc Prices Up 3.07% (2017-2-13)

SHFE 1704 zinc opened at RMB 23,615/mt and finally closed at RMB 24,000/mt, up RMB 715/mt or 3.07%.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 13 (SMM) – On Monday, commodities increased across the board and ferrous metals outperformed and nonferrous metals also increased. SHFE 1704 zinc opened at RMB 23,615/mt and then advanced to RMB 24,220/mt, up to as high as RMB 24,390/mt, the two-month high. During the afternoon trading, SHFE 1704 zinc rolled back to RMB 24,040/mt and finally closed at RMB 24,000/mt, up RMB 715/mt or 3.07%. Trading volumes rose 104,000 to 311,000 lots and positions increased 14,104 to 163,000. US dollar index broke through 101 and then dropped to 100.7.

SHFE 1704 zinc is moving above all the moving averages and will stay firm on Monday’s night trading.
