SHANGHAI, Feb. 7 (SMM) – US December trade data slated for release today are expected to top November’s and support the US dollar index. LME zinc will move between USD 2,770-2,820/mt today, and SHFE 1703 zinc should fluctuate between RMB 22,600-22,900/mt today, with spot prices RMB 10/mt below or RMB 30/mt above SHFE 1703 zinc.

MMG Q3 2026 Zinc Production Down 5% YoY, Rosebery Mine Output Slumps

MMG released its third-quarter 2026 production report on October 14. Total zinc production for the quarter reached 55.9kt, down 5% YoY, mainly due to lower output at the Rosebery mine. Dugald River produced 47.8kt of zinc in zinc concentrate during the quarter, broadly unchanged YoY. The mine remains on track to achieve the upper end of its full-year zinc production guidance of 170–180kt.
