Chile-based Antofagasta expects its copper production to reach 685,000-720,000 tonnes in 2017, wenhua.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 26 (SMM) - Chile-based Antofagasta expects its copper production to reach 685,000-720,000 tonnes in 2017, wenhua.com reported.

The firm sees net cash cost to be $1.30 per pound in 2017.

It produced 709,400 tonnes of copper in 2016, up 12.5% from 2015, due mainly to higher output from Centinela mine and other two new projects.
