The average operating rate at Chinese copper plate/sheet, strip and foil plants is expected to be 63.44% in January, down 9.21 percentage points month-on-month, SMM predicts based on the latest survey

SHANGHAI, Jan. 23 (SMM) - The average operating rate at Chinese copper plate/sheet, strip and foil plants is expected to be 63.44% in January, down 9.21 percentage points month-on-month, SMM predicts based on the latest survey.

Most producers said downstream demand was dampened due to the 2017 Chinese New Year holiday. Some undertook maintenance.
