Glencore to Expand Stake in Congo Mutunda Copper-Cobalt Mine

Glencore said recently it will increase its stake in the Mutunda copper-cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, wenhua.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 16 (SMM) - Glencore said recently it will increase its stake in the Mutunda copper-cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, wenhua.com reported.

Glencore now has a 69% stake in the Mutunda copper-cobalt mine at present, and is mulling over acquisition of a 31% stake in Fleurette – a partner of the Mutunda copper-cobalt mine, so as to gain a 100% stake in the mine.
